Pučišća village is a nice port on NW Coast of Brač Island.
They take pride in their white stone of which lots of legendary buildings are made. An urban legend says that even the White House in Washington DC is built with this stone, but that is a fabrication.
If you visit by a boat Pučišća is a safe port. There are moorings with electricity and water and by the waterfront there is more than enough depth for sailboats.
The great thing about Pučišća is that it is not as crowded as some ports on Brač, and you can find a spot even in high season. We were there in July and we were almost alone on the beach.
There is a stonemason school that teach to cut stone by hand following the ancient Roman method.
