When you moor at Veli Lago in front of Solitudo hotel there are adverts for taxi cabs. We called one and the nice man took us on a joyride all over Lastovo Island.

We drove to the helipad at the Pleševo brdo (415 m above sea level) where nice view towards Skrivena luka and Struga lighthouse opens up. In good visibility Lastovnjaci and Vrhovnjaci Islands are visible towards Mljet Island as well. Towards west Bratin, Vlašnik, Kopište and Sušac Islands are visible.

Next we went to the town Lastovo, which is situated above Sv. Mihajlo port on NE coast of Lastovo Island. On the way Zaklopatica is nicely visible from the viewpoint by the road.

In Zaklopatica (last photo) there are a couple of good restaurants or so i heard from friends. I haven’t tried one yet.

I've been in Korcula many times, but only during summer time, when it's very crowded. This time we visited in April and I loved it. Everything was almost empty, no people untherneaththe the pine trees or on the famous tower staircase. A whole new picture for me!

There is only one bad thing about tourists not overcorwding Korcula: restaurants are closed, there is hardly any place, you can get anything to eat. We settled for pizza at the top of the town by the cathedral. Pizza was OK, but they obviously didn't clean the beer pipes for a while, becasue it wasn't too tasty.
